Who?
I was in a group with: Chloe, Roxy, Zac Ty and Taylor.
What?
This was a meal challenge so we had to come up with a meal we wanted to make ours was homemade subways, then we had to go onto the countdown or expansive site and figure out what we needed. We had a budget of $12 so we had to figure out how to get what we needed/wanted for our subs. we ended up spending 75 cents over our budget but thanks to our wonderful teach Whaea Raewyn she covered that for us.
Where?
We went to paknsave to buy our ingrediants even though we budgeted at countdown it eneded up being ok.
When?
Last wednesday is when we went shopping for our ingrediants and we did it in the morning.
Why?
To learn how to budget and we also did it to get better at cooking and working in groups.
How?
We had 3 teachers with us... Whaea raewyn, Mr Mitchell and Mark who helps the teachers out and does other important stuff. They walked us through kyle park and down to the mall then we separated into our groups and got what we needed then met at the checkouts to purchase our goods..
In my opinion this was really fun getting to budget and plan a meal even cooking it was fun.
I am a student at in Uru Mānuka. In 2020 I was a year 9 and in 2021 I will be a year 10. This is a place where I will be able to share my learning with you. CIP- Community Impact Projects Update
In CIP as one of my subjects I chose to do Singing Group. The teacher that we have is my homeroom teacher Whaea Raewyn. We do a range of songs some I like but most I dont. I do enjoy getting to spend an hour of my day singing and listening to music.
The songs that we sing are:
Fight song
Shape of you
Lovely
Cant sleep love
Rere Rere Ripo
You are the reason
Love love love
Natural
Hallelujah

Community Impact Projects - Blog questions
I have joined the Christchurch Ōtautahi Community for my Community Impact Projects.
This is my passion because I feel as if other people in my community are much less fortunate than I am and need things more than I do.
I am interested in helping the people that are in need of things that they can't afford to buy for themselves, like food and water and also things that keep you clean and warm we should also make sure that any animals they have with them are looked after.
I think I am going to achieve this by running fundraisers to raise the money for those people and animals, we could do a car wash or sausage sizzle or even a mufti day with a gold coin donation.
CIP
- Who is benefiting this?
- What are you doing for them?
- How are you going to achieve this?
- What resources or support do you need to complete this project?
I would choose the homeless because there are so many of them and that means that they are exposed to all kinds of weather and people.
