Haiku Poem

Chirping

Birds chirping loudly
Hot chocolates are sizzling

Fresh air circling

This is my haiku poem that I wrote based off of this this picture. I had to think about what it would be like then write in a doc lots of different words then choose the ones that fit best in the story.

Fireworks Poem

This is the fireworks poem that I made. It is an acrostic poem . I had to think about how fire works look sound and how they make me feel.

Fire balls sparkling like a star
Instantly feeling happy
Realizing how pretty the are
Even when the shoot so high
Wishing they would never stop
Or at least go on for hours
Racing up and down
Keeping warm and cozy
So much fun can’t wait to come again

Do you have any feedback for me?

Hello New School Farewell New School

Hello New School Farewell New School
For literacy we had to write a poem about the new school. I decided to do some comparing to make it more interesting. I had to write how I feel about the school, and our 5 senses.

Back then I smelt the musty rooms, now I smell the paint fumes.

Back then I heard the trees swishing and wishing, now I hear the squeals of excitement coming from us kids.

Back then I saw the senior fort, now I see the freshly built buildings.

Back then I felt the rough walls and the bumpy floors, now I
Feel the fluffy walls and soft carpets.

I feel as lucky as monkey even though I feel as if I am abandoning the old and amazingly awesome school.

Do you have any feed back for me?

Baking Bread- Poetic Writing

Baking Beautiful Bread

Wow those bubbles are loud, I hear bubbles popping and crunching under Mrs Jack's fingers,
I smell a savory something coming from the baking bowl,
Seeing the dough makes my mouth water with excitement,
It feels stretchy and sticky all in the palm of my hand,
The taste was not exactly what I was expecting It was kind of like a sponge cake mixed with shortbread

This is my poetic writing for the week. On Monday morning we started making bread by creating the dough and letting it rise. Then during literacy time we got stopped so we could kneed it and let it rise again. When it had rised for the last time the teachers put it in the oven. After lunch the bread was finished and we got to try the bread and it was pretty good.

That Was Summer Poem

last week in writing we learnt about adjectives. We wrote a summer poem that had lots of wow words in it.

That Was Summer!

I remember smelling chlorine in the warm swimming pool.

I remember tasting yummy  juicy ice blocks.

I remember seeing some sappy green trees.

That was summer

I remember feeling the warm wind push me around.

I remember hearing the beautiful birds chirping.

That was summer.
