My goal for reading plus;
My goal for reading plus is to get to the next reading level which is level C and I also want to read over 20 thousand words in total by the end of this week.

Reading plus is a fun reading program to help improve your reading skills and comprehension skills.

So far with reading plus I have been finding it helps with my reading and in a very fun way.

Dear Mr Mitchell,

Im am interested in applying for the role of flag monitor that you have advertised over the past week. At SHS my best friend and I did a flag monitor job there as well. I have been thinking that it would be a very good job for time management.

As you can tell I have done this job before and I was always on time and responsible. We always did it efficiently and if one of us was away we still tried to do it solo. We even tried making our own flag for an extra job that we weren’t asked to do because we wanted to update the flag. I am a member of eco warriors and try to do it often enough to help keep the school clean and tidy.

I would very much appreciate an interview sometime in the near future. Thank you for your time.

WALT- To write a formal letter.

I think that this was a fun hard yet simple task to complete in the time frame given. I did struggle at first but like most things once you start it gets better and easier.

My next steps are to include more sophisticated language.

What Respecting Property At Hornby High School

This was our work from philosophy, We have been looking at respect (You probably noticed) for the past few weeks. We chose to do the respect post about respecting property because we wanted to do places and then most people were so we decided to do property.

My Weeks Worth Of Math

This is my maths learning from the week we have done lots of learning.
We had to make the DLO about what we have learnt. I have learnt quite a decent amount of maths this week I also thought that math was very fun this week.

Geology Science Badge

Aim:
To create a slide that shows information about volcanoes how they work and other things about geology Heaven from the blog address http://spsheavene.blogspot.com/ and I were working on this together. She created this document and did some of the research.

Method:
We had to do lots of research then we created this slide about all of the topics we learnt about.

Dinosaurs

Aim:
To create a presentation about the theory's of how dinosaurs became extinct and other facts.

Method:
I looked at a few websites and put together my findings in a list. Then I found out some other interesting facts that I have wanted to know for a while now.

Crystals

This weekend on Sunday I made my own crystals. Here I have shown my progress over the first day up until Wednesday night. I also made a poster to describe what was going on

Aim:
To successfully create crystals. For this I made borax crystals, which surprisingly it was very simple to make.

Method:
-First I put some borax into a clear glass jar
-Then I added some water and food dye
-Next I got a pipe cleaner and shaped it into what ever shape I wanted I chose a blog and a heart
-I made a paper clip as straight as I could and attached the end to the pipe cleaner shape and then curled the end of the paper clip then I added a bamboo stick to the other end of the paper clip and stuck the bamboo stick side ways so the pipe cleaner wouldn't touch the bottom.
-Then I waited till Wednesday to take it out and present my final product but I checked on it everyday and took photos.

What On Earth Is Going On In Hawaii?

Hawaii is a small island and it has been erupting for a long time, so far nobody has died. It is very tragic that all of this is happening but it just keeps erupting.

Aim:
To successfully make a presentation showing what is going on in Hawaii.

Method:
Heaven and I where doing lots of research and reading about this topic then we found footage and photos to go along with it.
