DMIC Maths

This week in DMIC math we have been doing problems that involve using a graph so we learned how to use one.

We had a problem about 2 peoples medicine so when and how much they need of it. On one side of the graph we put the time on one side and on the other we put the amounts so in this case it was milliliters (ml).
Then we had to put down either on every line a 10ml difference or more so we started off with a 10 ml difference then we learnt that the numbers didn't have enough space to go high enough so we made it 20 mls and in the hours it went every 3 hours so 3,6,9 etc.
But if your hours don't need to be that short like you only needed it for every 12 hours you could just do it every 12 or 10 hours on the graph its one of those things you can customize to what you need.

DMIC math is fun but depending on the problem it can be really easy or really hard it doesn't really vary in the middle. But all in all I do like doing it.

Term 2 Week 1- Maths

This is my math's work from the first week of this term I enjoyed it quite a bit and I think its because we get to choose when we do our work as long as we meet the deadline.
I also think my teacher explains the instructions really well which helps me understand things more.

Fireworks Maths

This is the maths work we have been doing this week.
We are learning to add lists of numbers. It is based on fireworks and there prices  For our last activity it was different to the other questions for it  we had to create a display of fireworks as our last activity. We could use our book or Chromebook I did it in my book first then put it on my slide.
WE had to have a sentence for the answer, our working out and make it look nice.

Popcorn Capacity

In Maths we are leaning about Capacity. We used popcorn to find out the capacity of a class. First we guessed how many spoonfuls of popcorn kernels it took to fill the cup. I guessed 15. It actually took 20 spoonfuls. Next we popped the corn on the oven. We had to guess how much popped corn filled the cup. I guessed 6. The capacity of the popped corn in the cup was 12 spoonfuls.

Capacity And Volume

In maths we are learning about capacity and volume. Capacity is how much liquid a container can hold and volume is how much is in the container at the time.
We guessed how many spoonfuls of rice a cup holds.

This is my capacity and volume work. This is to show Iv'e learnt in the last 2 weeks. I now know that there is 1000 ML in one L.
