In art this term we have been looking at block printing and reduction prints, first we started off by drawing images inspired by Sonia Terk Delaunay, then we created our very own image.
Method:
- Draw on a piece of lino the image/pattern you want
- Use lino cutting tools to carve in your design.
- Cover the lino in ink starting with a light shade.
- Press the lino onto a clear piece of paper, turn it over then rub a spoon over the paper to press the ink down.
- Then cut off whatever shapes/pieces you want to that first colour of ink.
- Cover the lino in a darker shade of ink and repeat this until you have 3 layers/colours of ink on your paper.
