Baking Bread- Poetic Writing

Baking Beautiful Bread

Wow those bubbles are loud, I hear bubbles popping and crunching under Mrs Jack's fingers,

I smell a savory something coming from the baking bowl,

Seeing the dough makes my mouth water with excitement,

It feels stretchy and sticky all in the palm of my hand,

The taste was not exactly what I was expecting It was kind of like a sponge cake mixed with shortbread

This is my poetic writing for the week. On Monday morning we started making bread by creating the dough and letting it rise. Then during literacy time we got stopped so we could kneed it and let it rise again. When it had rised for the last time the teachers put it in the oven. After lunch the bread was finished and we got to try the bread and it was pretty good.

Staying At My Grandparents

Yaaaaaaaay! Last friday night Erika and I stayed at my grandparents house. The first thing we did was go to the beach while it was still raining and collected stones and made a T.P out of long sticks my mum put photos of E rika and I inside our T.p on Facebook. Then just for fun we went to Rakaia Huts to see how flooded it was, It was a little bit flooded but not much. Then we went to get dinner which was chinese, While we waited we went to the southbridge park which was opposite to the chinese store even though it's wet, then we went just to look and see if the southbridge pool was flooded which it wasn't as it only had rain water in it not pool water because they needed to refill it. Then we went and got our food at went back to the house to eat. Once we got there we heated up our food and ate.
 After dinner Erika and I went and did some painting at about 8:30. When we finished we started watching a movie called the boy but we ended up getting to tired so we went to bed. In the morning Erika and I went and had a shower. Then we went and put the movie The Boy on again. After that we found out we couldn't leave because of the fooling. When the movie was finished we went to Southbride Primary School and played on the playground even though it was still wet. When it got to cold we left so we went to the dairy and brought some chocolate. When we got home we ate our chocolate and then went to do some exercise on the treadmill. Once we each did 2000 steps we went and rode the bikes.
Then when we where finished we ate afternoon tea which was fruit salad, when we where finished we did some running and then it was about 6:00 when we finished running/ relays so we ate our dinner which was lasagne toppers and salad. We went to bed at about 10:50 after watching another movie called Hannah Montana the movie.
In the morning we went and did more exercise.  Then at 12:00 we ate lunch which was a donut. The at 12:30 Erikas mum came and picked Erika up because she has a four wheel drive. Then about an hour later me and my mum left and headed for home.

Up In The Clouds

This is the writing I wrote about this picture. To plan we had to use what we think happened Before, During and After.

Ahhhh! Boy do I hope that the rope doesn't snap. I can’t believe I made it up here it's sooo high I have such big butterflies in my stomach.

Its (puff) so (puff) hard (puff) to walk up these stairs. I can't believe I’m about to bungee jump off this bridge it is the highest if ever been. Other than being in a plane of course.  “Is there any food on this bridge I’m really quite hungry” I said to the instructor said “I’ll buy you something after you jump”.

“Thanks a heap, this view is unbelievable”.  I’m gonna be okay, don’t fall don’t fall I think to myself.

“123 Jump!”  Says the instructor. “Ahhhhh why did I do this?” I screamed. It's over YES! “I’m okay” I yelled to the Instructor. “ Okay that will be $266 please” yelled the instructor. “Okay I’ll pay you this thursday”. As I was walked home I was very hungry. I smell some fruit and veggies so I followed the smell like a dog. At last I found it “can I have two apples” I said “yes you may that will be $12” said the shopkeeper. “Never mind I’m not that hungry” I said. Gosh thats a lot of money for two apples I thought. So I walked home and never left the house again.
