Ruler Drop Test

Image result for someone catching ruler

Today I was testing the ruler drop test on different people at different ages.

Aim:
To discover if people of different ages have different reflexes. The age difference between the two people I chose is about a year so the first person is 10 and the next is person is 11.  I find it interesting that the younger one did a lot better than the older one but she has also done this test before many time whereas the older one has only ever done it once before.

Method:
I had to find people of different ages in my class I could only find 10 and 11 year old. I  got them to hold their hand out partiality closed then drop the ruler with out them knowing when I was doing it from the height of their thumb, when they caught it I looked to see what Centimetre or Inch there thumb is touching.  I kept a record of what the two people got the lower the measurement the better they did.

Favourite Numbers Between 1-20

As you can see the favourite number is 5 because four people picked five and the next highest number picked was 2.  This could be important because its one of the main numbers that comes to peoples head when rounding numbers or using numbers in different ways.

Aim:
To find out what the most common number was in the class.

Method:
I asked as many students that I could in my class to pick a number between 1-20 and then I put it in a graph.

Results:
I learnt that the favourite number in the class is five.

Vlogging

This is a vlog that I made which tells you some top vlog and blog tips. This task was for cyber smart with our teacher Miss Morgan. This had to be a short clip so our watchers wouldn't get bored. I did this with some girls in my class call Sharney and Chloe.
Hopefully this gives you some tips on how to make better blog posts and videos.

30 Second Memory Word Challenge

Aim:
Was to get each person to memorise 15 words in 30 seconds and write them down afterwards.

Method:
I created a list of 15 random words then gave it to each person to memorise for 30 seconds. I set a timer for this so it was accurate.

Results:
The people who did the best did the test with lots of background noise the ones who did the worst did the worst in silence. Interestingly the one did the test in silence was the only one to thought she remembered two words that weren't on the list. I learnt that the meaning of memory is to remember something from the past.

Observing Lexi

Image result for toddlers

Aim:
To find out how her behaviour relates to the way most other toddlers do.

Method:
I observed her for about ten minutes and wrote everything down that she said and did.

Results:
I learnt more about my cousins development. I was observing my two year old cousin Lexi for ten minutes today and found out...
That Lexi knows more words than the average two year old, the average two year old should know 70-75 words but Lexi knows more around 100 words. I also know that most two two year olds should be able to walk and run by this age.
Like the average two year old she doesn't quite understand how to control anger and other emotions and that's why they call them the terrible twos. She spent most of the ten minutes talking  about her bike and her new motorised toy car she got for her birthday.

I find it interesting that she can be laughing one moment the crying then next and that she can't stay focused on one thing for more than 5-10 minutes.

Phychsiological Profiles

This is a test that we did which told us what side of our brain is most dominant. My right side is most Dominant. Which side of my brain is most Dominant? Right side of the brain is creative and left side is logical and organised.

Aim- I want to find out how my brain behaves and why?

Method
The method was that we had to finish a quiz which told us which side of the brain is most dominant. We had to answer a lot of questions for example  A. At home, my room has organised drawer and closets. I even try to organise other things around the house.
B. At home, I like the "lived in" look. I clean as I see a need and when I have the time.
Then by answering all these questions it gave Mr Stock a way to try and describe what side of our brain we use the most.

                                                                          Results:
Left brain 30%, Right brain 70%

                                                                   Discussion:
These results mean that I use the right side of my brain more than the left because i'm more creative the organised.

Please comment if you have any questions.

Roles & Responsibility's

At Hornby High and just in the world we have roles and responsibility's. They can be as simple as going to work or making food for the family but they are important, part of being responsible is being able to get stuff done in the time you have. We all have  different roles and responsibility's and try to get them done or right.

What is a role?- A role is a job or living up to what is expected.
What is a responsibility?- It is taking part in your role and doing everything on time.
Your Rights are to be able to do something you are responsible for without being distracted.
