Defintions- Science


Today in science we have watched  a video of different weather patterns and disasters that have happened around the world and have been caught on camera. We then had to find and write the definition for the words below and have a good understanding of what they mean.
  1. Anemometer -  A tool used for wind measuring purposes.
  2. Beaufort wind scale - Used for measuring wind speeds at sea.
  3. Typhoon - Tropical storm, With wind faster than 74 miles per hour. ( Tropical cyclone)
  4. Monsoon - Wind that carry's heavy rain. Seasonal change in direction. 
  5. What is it called when the weather is really nice and it suddenly turns into hail?        Air pressure. (barometric pressure)       Climate change
