Setting Sail

For this task I have to write a letter to a friend about what I would feel if I went away to another country.


Dear friend,
I am going to moving away. I am travelling by waka and I hope i survive.
I'm feeling extremely scared yet exited to take the next step of my life and seeing were it leads me .
It has been a long and scary trip. wish me luck.

    Hi there Talia,

    Well done on completing another task! I really liked reading your letter to a friend about your journey on a waka. I agree with you on feeling scared, I would definitely be a little scared about traveling to a new place.

    What do you think could be some things on the voyage that would make you nervous or scared? Could you describe to me what it was like on the waka, for example was it only you on the waka or were there heaps of people? Was it hard being at sea for a long time? If I was writing to a friend about my journey, I would mention how tiring it would,rowing for hours and hours and having to try fish for food because the food supply that we took with us got eaten!
